justbanmenow: Christy is Starting

justbanmenow: I just heard that the wonderful governor is shutting down the Hagedorn center for geriatrics and mental facility in Glen Gardner as soon as possible. I know of 6 families that the husband and wife both work there, not to mention the 400 other people that are employed there whose families depend on the income. Put that together with the school aid cuts that he will be announcing on the 16th,which will make property taxes go up for the towns that depend on it. Also not to mention the custodians that will be losing their jobs. Hey,but at least it looks like you guys will get your bear hunt.(I say you guys because I have no desire to bear hunt)

Hunter322: Bear Hunting Weapon Question

cuervo25_1:
Just about every black bear guide will tell you to use a large caliber (preferably a 12 ga) and aim for the front shoulder.
When I first started I was told to aim toward the back of the shoulder. and when the bear moved that leg and shoulder foward pull the trigger once the cross hairs clear the shoulderline. I never had the oppertunity to try that out.

I was asking a coworker the same question about what to use up here since rifles are not allowed,he said 12 gauge slug as well.
